“This is the day the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it” Psalm 118:24
# 1 God
Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him. (Psalm 62:5)
There is no hope to be the best I can be without walking with God everyday.
# 2 My husband
A man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. (Genesis 2:24)
After God my husband is my number one priority in this world.
# 3 My children
Parents, do not exasperate your children; instead; bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4)
After my husband my kids are the most important people in my life. They are God’s gift to me to nurture, and train. It does not mean they control my schedule, instead it means they must know they are important to me, that may mean taking the time to talk about why I am not able to be there for an event, or why we are not able to participate in certain things, etc.
#4 My home
For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. ( I Corinthians 14:33)
Although this scripture is speaking of orderly worship, I believe God heart is the same for our home. My home should be a place were people come and can’t wait to come back again, because I spend time making it a place of order and peace, by cleaning it, not being moody or yelling, instead making it a place were first my family love to be in and second were others will see God through it.
# 5 My ministry
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest of righteousness if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9)
I should always be looking for opportunities to give. It could be serving a brother or sister, reaching out to a friend by opening my home, or my mouth. I must remember that although I can feel weary of doing good, it is all for the glory of God, and the Bible promises that I will reap a harvest from it.
# 6 Other activities
“What is impossible with men is possible with God” (Luke 18:27)
After keeping my priorities straight I must trust God that he will give me the time for me and the strength for any extra activities that may come my way.
